How I Found My Clear Perspective
My journey to Clear Perspective EyeCare didn't begin in an exam room or an optical. It began with a business degree, a three-year-old daughter by my side, and a determination to build a future for us.
I graduated from the University of New Mexico's Anderson School of Management in 1995 while raising my young daughter and working as an accounting software consultant. My introduction to optometry came soon afterward, when I began managing the accounting and financial operations for a local optometrist.
What started with numbers quickly grew into much more. As I worked with additional optometric practices, I began learning every aspect of the business—from insurance billing and doctor credentialing to inventory, staffing, practice-management systems, marketing, and day-to-day operations.
In 2009, I returned to the optical industry to manage a local Albuquerque practice, where I spent years helping develop its operations, marketing, and brand. In 2016, I took the next major step and opened the practice that would ultimately become Clear Perspective EyeCare. Two years later, I purchased Muller Optical and the building our practice still calls home today.
The journey hasn't always been a straight one. There have been successes, setbacks, difficult lessons, and unexpected changes along the way. But each one helped give me a clearer understanding of the kind of practice I wanted to build.
Eventually, it was time for that practice to have an identity of its own.
Clear Perspective EyeCare represents that new chapter.
Today, I'm proud to own an independent, locally operated practice where decisions are made right here—not by a corporate office or sales quotas. My job is to make sure our doctors and team have the people, technology, tools, and support they need to provide exceptional care, while creating an experience where our patients feel genuinely valued.
More than 30 years after beginning this journey, I can finally say I have a Clear Perspective on exactly where I belong.
